Renee van den Bogaart

 Renee has Down Syndrome. She comes to art after school with an enthusiastic attitude and goals in mind accompanied by cousin and caregiver Andrea, who has recently discovered her own artistic abilities. Whilst she takes her work seriously, Renee brings a confidence to the studio which lifts others and drives her creativity. Having faced some health issues, participation in art provides a chance for her to channel her abilities, socialise and mostly, have fun.

Renee will take on challenges and with support from tutors and has gained patience with herself and others through her practice. She will often choose to draw from her personal experiences and enjoys making art for others.
