Timothy Wong

 Timothy is on the Autism Spectrum and has sensory issues with difficulty focusing. Finding relevant activities for him has been a challenge for his family because of his high needs and insufficient funding at day programs. Over the years however, Timothy has built a trusting relationship with Lynda, who through Art For All has been able to provide an opportunity for Timothy to do something that he truly enjoys while being accepted and valued for who he is. 

Timothy finds relief from stress and sense of calm during class as he engages with various materials and media. The lesson not only encourages creativity and artistic expressions but also helps promote independence, flexibility, cooperation and language skills, all of which are important in improving Timothy's quality of life. He always looks forward to his weekly art lesson with Lynda.
